Its kinda weird having to re-learn the Disney songs in Choir parts,but I think it should be okay...I hope.I Luv It! LOL nono pls,I was just typing it...cos I saw "I Luv It" on some file not far from where Im sitting.LOL.Oh yeah...afew really weird questions you'd think I'd never ask.

I just can't find an answer to em.I dunno,but Ive tried to cut an earthworm into half ONCE.. cos I was curious...(I read in my Science textbook that they grow back and become 2 earthworms)

sadness la.We buried it and said a prayer,dun worry.But Im still curious to how Earthworms reproduce.I wonder who our Science teacher will be next year..Hopefully not Teowteow.LOLZ!
Science is such a complicated thing,I just realized.No thanks to the reading Jacqueline Wilson books everynight.I love Clay's lifestory too!Its so sweet.You guys should read it!Its really sad. :(

The worm's body is divided into 100 or more body segments. As the worm works its way forward, successive peristaltic or contracting waves of thickening and thinning (7-10 per minute) pass down the body. At each place where the body bulges out at a given moment, the bristles, or setae, are extended and grip the burrow walls. Setae, which are not true legs but pairs of bristles attached to each segment, push against the ground with each contraction and help the animal move.
When a Robin tries to pull an earthworm out of the ground, the worm uses these bristles to hold on tight to the wall of its home. Sometimes the worm holds on so tight and the Robin pulls so hard that the worm comes apart. The Robin keeps the front end and the hind end wriggles back into its burrow. If a bird pulls off the first 7 or 8 rings of the worm's body, new segments will grow. If a worm is pulled in half, the head end will grow back.
this earthworm thing is really interesting and addictive!!!
Apparently, earthworms have BOTH male and female reproductive organs, i.e each earthworm is both male AND female! So they DO have to mate in order to reproduce! Maybe it's just too tiny for the naked human eye to see (not such a bad thing, in my opinion!) Anyway, they mate, and then the eggs get fertilised and cast off into the soil, from which will eventually emerge little baby earthworms! (Watch the video clip in the first link i gave you -- wormworld or something)
